All Finalists

All finalists will be entitled to a place on our IP incubator program, designed to provide education and insight into best practices in IP management for growing businesses.

There are two tracks to choose from: a “tech” track for technology-focused businesses or a “creative” track for brand-led businesses.

Delivery of the program is through a mixture of group learning and one-to-one coaching sessions, and all cohort members can participate in on online community with active participation from our team.

 

Winners

In addition to the IP incubator program, we are pleased to offer to all winners either one of: free service fees for a trade mark application or a free basic patent analytics report.

This applies to winners in all categories.

Trade Mark Application

For winners we will waive our service fee for preparation and filing of one new UK trade mark application, covering up to two classes, and also subsequent service fees for the registration stage (assuming the application is accepted by the UKIPO).

The only costs will be the government fees, typically consisting of £170 for an application in one class and £50 for each additional class that is selected.

As part of the offer, we will also make a cursory check for any existing identical trade marks, and will provide our expert opinion on your brand’s registrability to make sure that there are no reasons not to make a filing.

The offer does not extend to preparation and filing of applications in more than two classes, and does not include pre-filing clearance searching or dealing with objections from the UKIPO or from third parties.

This can be used to:

  • Secure some initial protection for your brand.
  • Supplement your existing portfolio with a registration to cover additional goods and services that meet your changing business needs.
  • Protect different logos or representations of your mark.

Patent Analytics Report

We will provide a customised IP intelligence report, tailored to your objectives. This could include:

  • Novelty assessment of an idea
  • Insight into the “landscape” of a specific technology area
  • Investigation into a specific competitor

In all cases, the reports will be of a basic nature, leveraging the efficiency of the enterprise level AI-enhanced tools that we use as part of our IP analytics services.
